Potato Salad Hill in Moab is really just a bunch of bumpy rocks on a slope.
With several lines to the top you have options for just how terrifying the ride will be.
And some lines can result in crazy, expensive rollovers!
As always, these videos will make you want to buckle up and upgrade your rollcage.
Chevy K20 Rolls and Takes a Beating
When’s the last time you tried to take a stock K20 up PSH?
The pickup actually makes it up most of the way with 4 people crammed into its standard cab. Yeah, you read that right! Four people.

While the driver spins rubber to make a valiant attempt over the ledge at the end, the pickup gets sideways.
With the wheels cranked in the wrong direction, it gets even more sideways until gravity overcomes it.
Then it tumbles, dumping out what looks like camping gear for four people onto the rocks of Potato Salad Hill.
Unfortunately, one of the passengers needs medics, probably from banging her head.
Unforgiving 2 1/2 Turn Rollover Off the Side of the Hill
This terrifying roll starts when a four door Jeep takes one of the less conventional lines. Because of the sharp dropoff on the driver side, there is not a lot of margin of error on the climb itself.

As is very typical on PSH, the Jeep hops and loses traction causing it roll hard 2 1/2 times.
CJ7 Slides to Its Doom
Like many rollovers, there was a certain calmness as this Jeep started to slide, then mega carnage!

This nicely built CJ on Swamper Boggers looks like it should have made it up, but a couple things happened:
First: The driver locked the brakes.
On sandy rock, this doesn’t help your traction and gravity started pulling the Jeep down.
Second: The wheels probably should have been turned to the right a bit.
Realistically, the driver might have tried to power out of this one, but may have frozen up when he started to slide.
The result is a pretty hard hit down at the bottom of the hill.
No Seatbelt, No Cage Rollover in a Blazer
Seems like someone should have died on this one.
The old Chevy K5 Blazers came from the factory without a roll bar. This one also has the removable fiberglass hardtop, and you can see why it’s terrible for wheeling!

The K5 gets to the top, loses traction, and goes over sideways.
The hardtop is crushed to oblivion, and then what do we see?!
Some dude pops out of nowhere, clearly with no seatbelt on, and raises his arms in victory.
That’s what we call a dodging a bullet.
The Energizer Bunny of Rolls
Every once in a while, someone does something unexpected.
This guy attempted Potato Salad Hill, but doesn’t quite make it on his line and takes a roll.
But this propane-powered Jeep lands on all fours!

Since he and the passenger are belted in, the driver guns it and is able to make it up the hill.
